Custom Domain / Link Tracking (SSL error)
This article outlines the additional SSL set up that must be done if encountering an SSL error when links are redirected in LeadByte - this is required when shortening URLS in SMS using a custom domain or when tracking emails with your own domain.
After setting up your own Custom Domain to be used to shorten links in SMS sent via LeadByte, or if you have your own custom domain configured for tracking email links as per the SMTP set up article, you will need to have a valid SSL certificate to bypass any secure domain errors when the links are used.

1. Open a ticket with support, letting us know the domain you are using.
2. We will then start the SSL authentication process on our end, sending back specific CNAME records to you with instructions, you will need to configure these on your DNS control panel.
3. After the CNAME records have been set correctly, the SSL certificate authentication will be complete and the secure domain error issue will be resolved.
