HLR (Mobile Validation)

Follow

The HLR Lookup service is great for resolving issues with Mobile Number Portability and reducing costs by utilising the results of the real-time[*] lookup.  The Home Location Register, a central database in 2G and 3G mobile networks that stores subscriber information like their location, services, and authentication data.

How it works
We ping the HLR database and receive a status, typically whether the number is live, absent or dead.  From this, you can then accept or reject the lead.

HLR Validation is available in 3 areas of the system, they are:

Campaign
Under Validation Services you can enable Mobile Validation to automatically ping the HLR database for every lead that is received against the Campaign.  Note, this is a billable service.

REST API
You can ping our API to run Mobile validation from your forms/funnels.  You need to create a key to authenticate the request under Admin > Tech Hub > REST API. Once you have done this, follow the instructions provided at the bottom of the page to embed on your given form. For more info please check this article.  Note, this is a billable service.

Verify (Bulk upload tool)
We give you the ability to take a file, import it into the system and populate the result to the original file. To do this head over to the tab named "Verify".  You can upload a file and follow the wizard to run HLR against your data file.  Note, this is a billable service.

[*] The service provides real time results where possible, however not all phone networks return real time results. So there will be occasions where a cached result is returned, but this determined by the network and not us.

Please note

  • This service is not 100% accurate. We rely on clients verifying the validity of these checks with their Buyer.
  • Networks are often unaware of issues on their route until clients flag them up.

This isn't to discourage you from using the service, but just to make you aware.

  • Note, this is a billable service. Please raise a support ticket for pricing.
