This article will cover how to setup a basic email responder within LeadByte.
Before you start, please ensure you have an SMTP set up with us.
Follow this guide for more assistance - Email SMTP Partners
Step 1
Select Responders>Create Email Responder from the tabs. You will need to choose between a Time Based, Event Based OR Manual - REST API trigger. These are listed below in more detail:
Time Based
Responders that are configured to send an email based on an offset of the lead received time e.g. send instantly arrive or X amount of time. In addition to this, you can select a Lead status to trigger if that condition is met. These options are All Leads, Delivered Leads, Sold Leads and Unsold Leads.
Event Based
Responders that are configured to send an email based on an event occurring (such as when an email is opened or clicked.
Manual - REST API
Responders that are controlled by the user to ensure a responder is triggered when an email is sent to a lead. This allows you to trigger the responder from an external source via the API. More on this feature here - Triggering a Responder via the REST API
Step 2
You will need to add a Reference*, link a Campaign and add the Default sender info* as a minimum here. If you wish to link specific Suppliers, link a Suppression Campaign, set a pause between time, add exclusion dates and enable dedupe you can choose to here.
Step 3
You can use Rules on your Responders, where it allows you to set condition(s) to be matched in order for a message to be sent. Leave blank if you want to send a message to all leads.
Step 4
You can create single or multiple Pushes to create a nurturing cycle. Click and you will enter the Push screen, where you will construct your email. The requirements here are a Push name*, From name*, Subject* and Sender details *. You will also need to enter the text into the email body or paste an already constructed HTML using the button.
Once content with your email body, you can add Rules specific to the Push and also add a schedule for your Push.
Ensure that you test your Push by clicking and entering your email address in the pop out box.
